CONGRATS to all TRG people who raced this weekend!
Virginie Bernard backs up in the 50km Mtn bike race for fun and comes 3rd in her age group in 2.59
Brendan king came in 31st in his age group in 3.39!
Chris Dimos had another adventure race in the bush – coming in 2nd overall. Pretty sure he was happy to be behind the master of adventure racing, John Jacoby.
Ironman New Zealand had good conditions with elite female winner smashing the course record and Cam Brown going close.
Congratulations to both Rob Hill (off to Hawaii for the 10th time!) and to Mark Bowring on a strong result.
Rob never sat outside of the top 20 in his age group, working strongly on the bike to make his way into 4th and running very strongly, despite the heat, for a very strong overall finish time. 66th out of 1200+ athletes.
Mark certainly had a very well paced event, going in with a goal of just being consistent and that’s what he did. Finish 20th out of 140+ people in his age group also shows what a strong performance he had
