Weekend wrap 17/18 January

  • Taylor Jones won the Mornington triathlon last week, in the draft legal junior category, and then 4th yesterday in Race 3 of the Active Tri Series, PLUS a sizzling 17:40 run split yesterday. His hard work and patience has paid off!

  • Ian Lack, in his first race of the season, came 4th in a star studded AG and ran a super-quick 18:40 off the bike despite his hamstring issues.

  • Anne Henry also in her first race for the season, came away with a win. As always, Anne was strong across the board.

  • Ian Jones finished in third place place yesterday in the Active Tri Series race, after a 5th in the Olympic distance riding close to one hour!

  • Mitchell Couper continues to dominate the 16-19 AG, coming away with a win and similar to Laura Parsons, now 2 wins in a row. (both Parkdale prodigies)

  • Great to See new Sacha D'Unienville able to still be very competitive, after the birth of their first baby, and limited training!

Two Bays Trail Run... all brilliant results including, Eibhlins sixth place overall in the females in under 6hrs for the 56km and Nic not far behind in just over 6hrs! Great effort by both athletes!

Wendy McAlpine finished third overall in the females, closely followed by Liz Dornom in 4th and Bern Dornom in 7th.

Leigh came in with a very strong sub 2.30... not bad for a guy that recently was focussed on 3km TT for his umpiring!

Awesome to see Jess Maris out enjoying nature and being right in the mix.
